Rather disturbing observation if you ask me…

Either way, Alois was making a mental note to be on his guard while he was at the Phantomhive manor this time. Ciel was unusually smug today, something Alois didn’t completely trust, especially that smirk. To Alois it gave him the impression Ciel was either plotting something or mocking him.

Whether he was acting or lying, it didn’t matter to Alois, he wouldn’t trust Ciel either way. But regardless, Alois nodded slowly at Ciel’s offer to summon Sebastian and have tea brought to them.

Just don’t poison it, eh?

Ciel disregarded Alois’ response. Disturbing, maybe, but not as effective as he hoped it would be. He figured with a threat like that, Alois would hurry himself out of there. The smirk faded into his usual pout, and he rolled his visible eye at his next comment. “A simple poison? That’d be so tasteless, honestly.

It angered the earl that Alois didn’t seem to flinch at his threat. It looked like the boy planned on staying, whether or not it was dangerous. What was he thinking? Was he mad? Before he could call for Sebastian, he saw him rolling over a cart of tea before he got the chance to order him to. So he has been watching, Ciel thought, as the butler poured the tea into the cups. “Today’s tea will be Adams Peak White Tea, made from silver tip tea leaves grown at high elevation in the Nuwara Eliya region of Sri Lanka; hand-rolled to produce a delicate, light copper color tea tasting of pine and honey..” the demon said with a smug smile on his face.

Ciel took a cup of the tea, not acknowledging Sebastian’s explanation. He took a small sip, and sighed. It tasted very good, and it calmed Ciel’s nerves a bit. It’s one of the reasons why he loved tea so much. “Let’s just get this over with,” Ciel spoke up, then closed his eyes before putting the cup to his lips again.
