Maroon curls began to pool as she shifted her position along the tile, stretching her long back, her tail just barely peaking out from under her thick robe.
But at least she had dismissed her stray thoughts, as her emerald eyes met his gaze, and she wondered briefly why his stare seemed to pierce through her thoughts more then his question had.
Never the less, the cat woman waved her head as she replied.
“You remind me of a boy I once knew.” She said, a bitter tone in her voice. Yes, he did remind her of a boy she knew. A boy who never got to reach his age in the slightest.
Feeling stuffy, she discarded her thick robe, revealing the body of a woman who, despite her form, and beauty, was self conscious for some reason. A long sleeved turtle neck, her pendant now fully visible to him, a Cats Eye Quartz, in the shape of what appeared to be a cat’s head. Fitting, to say the least. It hung from a golden chain, which formed a near perfect V shape, it’s point ending just in the middle of her collar bone. Most of her attire was a dark brown, contrasting highly against her long Maroon curls.
She purred softly, her tail winding it’s way around her waist, it’s tip waving back and forth slightly in quick spasms. She was again, lost in something, but it clearly wasn’t thought as she watched the Phantomhive child with clear amusement, her full attention was his to manipulate.
The Phantomhive thought on what she said about him reminding her or someone. Who could it be? It definitely wasn’t a lover, since he was too young - that’d be rather interesting however since the difference in age was usually the opposite. The men were always older than their wives, and half the time the wives had no say in who they married anyway. But he got the feeling that a life like that never fit into the cat-girl’s description. She seemed old enough to have a child, however. Would a woman like this revert to thievery and conning if there was “a boy like Ciel” in her life? No.
“Did you lose a child?” he asked, probably more bluntly than he should have.
Her attire was very common. A woman who wasn’t rich or royal only wore dresses of the highest quality. Drank out of the most precious cups of tea with the best of people. He knew that she wasn’t living like that, so he decided to let it go. Not everyone had his high of a social status, and sometimes he forgot that. Not everyone had acceptable mannerisms, spoke correctly, wrote literately… it was all a matter of being raised. Ciel thought about it once - where he would be in a different life, if circumstances changed. But he tried his best not to think like that, because it could make him regret. Regret was the last thing he needed to feel.
The tail made him shudder a bit, slightly spooked by her strange physical attributes. “You’re not human, what are you?” A half-breed? What could create a feline mixed with a human? If she was from the Underworld, then this would be very possible. If not.. well then what the hell was she?
Well that was a laughable suggestion. Why risk her tail for the amusement of a child. “Well I apologize my dear Earl,...
The bluenette watched her expression change, which told him all he needed to know. To lose a child was considered the...
