Alois figured Ciel would easily mirror his step backwards with one forward, there was nothing in front of the bluenette to hinder him. While the light blue eyes were tinted with wariness and fear, the sapphire ones were filled with hate and rage. Where exactly this came from, seemingly out of nowhere, was truly baffling the blonde. He knew Ciel had been upset over what’d transpired at the costume ball, but was this really necessary? Little did the Trancy know that the Phantomhive was looking at him with murderous intentions, not just anger brought on by aggravation from a surprise visit or one too many taunts.
Alois had no knowledge of the forged papers that painted him as the person behind the arson that burned the Phantomhive manor to the ground, taking the late Vincent and Rachel Phantomhive with it, leaving Ciel an orphan and down one soul because of a contract made out of desperation. Of course he’d staunchly deny any involvement in it, because he had no involvement in it. His eyes widened another fraction when he felt the rubber bottom of the cane pressing against his windpipe again, worried about what Ciel was going to do next.
There was only a second between when Ciel took another step towards Alois and suddenly the cane was aiming a blow towards a spot that would either cause unconsciousness, or worse, if hit properly. But luck was with Alois (or was it?) and Ciel’s original aim went off course and there was a crack when the cane smacked down on the delicate bones of Alois’ shoulder. A sharp cry escaped his lips at the immense pain, and another second later Alois was on his knees, clutching at his shoulder with his opposite hand. What in the world did he do to deserve that blow? What was it for? At Ciel’s next words, confusion was all over Alois’ features. Horrible deeds? What had he done that was so awful? His duties as the Queen’s Spider weren’t pretty, sure, but Ciel was fully aware of what holding that title entailed. Trying to bite back tears of pain, Alois spoke with as much resolve as he could.
Horrible deeds? Ciel, what did I do? I haven’t done anything to deserve that hit you just did!
The sudden sadistic nature made Ciel breathless. The cane was still tightly gripped in his hands, and the earl straightened his posture and pointed the cane at Alois once more. Since Alois was on his knees, Ciel could tower over him. Killing something, whether a person or an animal, was difficult. Especially the way Ciel found himself doing it. A close range blow with a pistol, or sicking Sebastian on his target and watching them be slaughtered. Witnessing such events time and time again altered the young Phantomhive’s mind. He wasn’t an innocent boy, though so young.
“I found the documents stating you are the one who burned down my mansion,” he was looking at Alois like he was filthy vermin that needed to be exterminated. His tone was blunt and harsh, and of course; angry. A vision of the embers emitting his entire manor into flames flashed before his mind. The memory made the shaking more apparent, and his eyes widen in a complete trance. Another memory captured his thoughts. The hesitation was bad, and if he kept it up he could lost his target. The filthy men who branded the mark on his side, and abused his body.. all of it was because of the person in front of him.
“You’re the one who stole everything from me,” he was muttering his words now. “It’s your turn to suffer.”
Alois winced with each step he took, no matter how much care he took with each of them to not jostle his shoulder,...
Sebastian leaned up straight when he saw the suffering boy force himself to stand. His hand returned to his side and his...
