
A pleasant smile graced the boy’s face as he replied. “All in due time, Ciel dearest. Now just follow me to the drawing room.”
With that, he scampered off ahead of the boy down a long corridor. His steps were more like that of a dance than a walk and he twirled every now and then, leading Ciel to their destination.
Ciel watched Alois for a moment before he actually took his steps to follow. Whatever they were playing, the young earl would make sure not to lose to the other. Ciel was the gamemaker after all, he’d surely be able to find the upperhand somehow. Doubt was not an option, so the only thing left in Ciel’s mind was utter confidence.
