It was getting late, and Ciel still lay unconscious in the blonde’s bed. Alois sighed. At least Sebastian had never shown up to rescue his dear young master. Claude must have been doing his job well, but waiting around for the earl to wake was beginning to get tedious. Alois found himself stifling a yawn. He was tired. Boredom did that to him. He glanced over to the mattress where his ‘guest’ was resting and shrugged to himself. Perhaps if he were to fall asleep, the time would go by faster. He wandered over to the bed and laid down, curling up beside the unconscious young earl. He was sure the boy would wake with a start, and that would be enough to rouse him as well.
The room was very dark by the time Alois was jolted awake by the movement at his side. Ciel was awake at last! But the blonde chose to stay quiet for the time being. What would the bluenette do? “How dare you sleep next to me!” he spoke as soon as they made eye contact, though his complaint wasn’t really his main concern. The last thing he could ever think of happening was him waking up beside the Earl Trancy. Then again, he didn’t expect to be kidnapped by him either. Ciel didn’t know what to do. The door was closed, it was dark, and he didn’t know his way around the manor. He could probably find his way out, but then there’s Claude in his way. This game was well thought out, even clever. But not even that would tear down the Phantomhive’s will to win.
“I will not lose to scum, Alois,” he seethed, his heart beating much faster than he wanted it to. It was true he was nervous, considering he was nearly digging through the cloth from how tight he was holding it. Vulnerability wasn’t something he could afford - especially now. But at the same time he couldn’t help but feel vulnerable.
Ciel also thought this was over. The final frontier, the final battle between master and slave duo – and that he won....
The rage bubbling up inside of Alois was too great to fully allow him to perceive just what it was he was doing. He...
